Laurie Chua is an HR practitioner, educator, and California compliance strategist with more than 30 years of experience. She holds SHRM-SCP, SPHR-CA, SPHR, and PHR certifications, and has taught HR certification prep internationally.
Her perspective is shaped by 60+ HR expert witness engagements in California state and federal courts, where the same judgment the exams measure is tested under cross-examination. That perspective is built into every part of the program — including the C.L.E.A.R. Framework, the scenario design, and the coaching approach.

Many candidates layer the cohort on top of an existing study plan. The C.L.E.A.R. Framework and coaching components complement traditional content — they do not replace it.
Plan for 6 to 10 hours per week of study, including the weekly live session. The structure is built to be sustainable for full-time HR professionals balancing exam prep with their day-to-day work.
